The State has activated the Extreme Hot Weather Protocol beginning Sunday, 6/22, and expected to run through Wednesday. As of Saturday afternoon, we are planning on being open as usual, but we advise you to take the following precautions and stay safe.
—Keep your body temperature cool to avoid heat-related illness.
—Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
—Avoid direct sunlight.
—Drink lots of water. We don’t have a snack bar so come prepared with a good supply.
—Try to rest often in shady areas so that your body has a chance to cool off.
—Check in often on those in your party who are most at-risk—the young and the aged, and those with medical conditions that are susceptible to the heat.
—And never, ever leave children or pets inside of a parked car for ANY amount of time.
