Make plans to attend the next Congress of Rough Riders at High Rock. Cowboy shoots are held on the first Sunday of the month through December. There’s no open public shooting, but spectators are welcome. Safety briefing at 9:30am with shooting competitions to follow. The Rough Riders are a very welcoming bunch, happy to share their passion for the period and the firearms. We’ll see you there!
You can now fill out the HRSA New Member application online and click submit to send it electronically. Of course, you can also fill it out online and then print and mail the form, or if need be, simply print the blank form and fill it out by hand for mailing. Voting has closed, and we won’t know the results of our efforts till the July issue comes out. No matter how we make out though, we want to thank all our Members and Patrons for their support in the campaign to flash-mob the polls. With no category for Best Gun Range, it was on all of us to take over the Best State Park slot to promote our home–the Naugatuck State Forest. Once again, should we win the category, I promise to paint the internet with the news of our victory. Crikey, it was a victory to just get on the ballot! And it was all down to you. Thank you folks–it really does warm our hearts to feel the support.
